Reposting this as a reminder for those in the lower-central Southeast states,
this would be a good practice event before next weekend's Peru Pro Solo:
Hey folks, it's time for another awesome Wiregrass Region autocross event at
Hunt Stage Field in Ozark, AL on Sunday, May 14. This pristine 1100 ft x 350
ft concrete army helicoptor landing pad site is located just off US Hwy 231
approx. 5 miles south of Ozark, AL, or approx 15 miles north of Dothan, AL ,
depending on where you're coming from.
Take US Hwy 231 to County Road 18 (Exxon gas station on corner), take CR 18
west 1/2 mile, site is on your right. Gates open 9:30am CST for course
setup, registration and course walking begins around 11:00am CST, Driver's
Meeting at noon, followed by a drive-thru and making as many autox runs as
you or your tires can take (referred to locally as "drop or pop" :-); typical
turnout is 15 - 20 drivers so seat time is rarely an issue. Be prepared to
experience another unique course layout design.
We may even have the new timing system ready which will allow separate start
finish areas. There are no worker positions other than event setup and T&S;
drivers are sent back out after their runs to setup any cones they knocked
down. Course length is usually 60+ seconds. Any questions, just email me.
Otherwise I hope to see you there.
