www.monito.com/wankel will give you a good run-down of the design that
Mazda uses and how it came to be as well as a cluster of good sites to
read.  http://mrmazda.members.atlantic.net will give you all the
technical information you thought you could absorb then triple that.
It lacks some organization but it does have a lot of very useful tips,
hints and FAQs.  SpecRX7 specifies a 12A powered 81-85 in every
region that I've seen it present in.

BTW, they are RWD as God intended all sports cars to be. =)
