Actually, I don't really care. California is rated the WORST in this country
as far as public education goes, so get off your Midwest horse there,
Bultemeier.
I was just using you as an example because it wasn't that long ago that you
brought up this whole Team Laughing Stock thread, and a large majority of
readers, at least those who responded, thought your post was intended to be
mean or cruel. Turns out, no, actually, you were trying to be funny, and now
Team Laughing Stock has this huge cult following. And there has been more
than a few occasions where people have just thought things you send to
team.net aren't consertive, but just FREAKISH. Then, I later discover that
some of these same people met you in person, and found you to be a pleasant
guy! Obviously, your on-line persona is much different than the likeable lug
you are in person.
I would NEVER want team.net to be a forum of over educated intellectual
snobs, and personally, I don't mind decyphering the code. But the problem
is, there are some people, through no fault of their own, just delete that
stuff just because sometimes, reading posts consisting only of individual
letters is just too HARD! I could care less about perfect grammar, and I
think that goes for probably all of us. It's hard to find any soul or
feeling in a post laden with perfect grammar. But, if it's your goal to make
a POINT, you should write for the lowest common denominator. For example, if
writing in morse code is easier for you, don't be disappointed that the only
people who read your posts are the folks who can understand it. The more
people you can reach with your post, the stronger your odds are of SERIOUSLY
bringing home your point, if that's your goal.
In no way do I want to imply that Adam's posts are invalid. He obviously has
a lot of opinions on things, and well, HE ASKED.
Anyway, before I sign off, let remind you: California schools are the WORST
in the nation. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
later,
Katie
