        Yes, it must be bolt in. Because your car (civic) is not considered an
open top car, that is the only requirement you must meet that is
specific to roll bars. However, you may not perform any unauthorized
modifications to install it. Removal of interior upholstery or panels to
install a roll bar isn't allowed.

        Definitely not legal.
