Actually, its 76hp and 84ft-lb of torque.

True, but I was second, and it wasn't an Integra, it was a 97 Civic HX.

I know he was struggling, so I know there is more in his car. But, to add
to the "new" HS debate...
No one beat the Celicas this year, but I came closer than anyone. At the
Petersburg Pro, I was 2nd(behind a Celica...now gone) and outran all of ES.
At the Harrisburg Pro, I was bumped to ES and finished 3rd behind a 99 Civic
Si and the HS ProSolo champion and ahead of another fast Celica(a 2-time 99
Pro winner)
I THINK the 96+ Civic HX is the car for the "new" HS. 115hp @ 6200rpm,
104ft-lb @ 5400rpm(it looks bad, until you realize the Civic Si has a
whopping 111 at a ridiculous 7000!!! In Honda terms, *that* is a flat
torque curve). It's light, I weighed at 2350. Runs 0-60 in the high 7's or
low 8's (quicker than the EX with the stronger VTEC engine). My car can
also run the factory alloys (the lightest that Honda made in 14") that are
5.5" wide, the widest you can get on any HS Honda. It's also geared for
Nationals..... with the 7000 rpm redline you don't run out of 2nd gear
until about 67mph (pulling the whole way). YOU'LL NEVER NEED 3rd gear in
*this* car....... Easy on tires too.
All of this was on Kumho's too (as bad as the g-force seems to be on other
cars, they were still the tire on softly spring FWD cars). Never tried them
(too expensive$$$$$) but have to wonder if they wouldn't have been faster.
Considering this was my first year running ProSolo and Tours (and my first
of 6 in any kind of set-up car) I think the Civic HX has some ability I
haven't been able to find (and won't ever find out, my MR2T is toooooo much
fun). Did I mention the Honda is for sale??????
97 Civic HX
Black
2 sets of HS legal factory alloys
1 set of almost new Kumhos(205/55-14) 2 shaved, 2 full tread(rears, so no
wear!) - only 3 events on them.
1 set of 15" Konig Villain street wheels w/ RE71's
1 set of CRX wheels and Dunlop Graspic winter tires
Tokico Illumina's all around
K&N air filter
stock exhaust (everything else killed the torque)
Schroth harness
And it gets 46+mpg when I'm drafting a Camaro on a trailer (it still gets 45
when I'm NOT drafting)......
Non A/C car
Power windows
Power locks
100% synthetic fluids since new
HONDA CONTINGENCY MONEY!!!!!!
