Not trying to pick on anyone here, but rather to make an analogy as to why I think the current classing system is ok (Once STU becomes what I think it should be). I've been to two Porsche Club autox events, they were really nice guys. The first events classing system ensured that everybody won a trophy. They had a different class for every model, and sub classes for years, with more subclasses for level of modification. But everyone got a trophy. The second event didn't have enough trophies for everybody, so everyone took three practice runs and the cars were classed according to practice run times. I was astonished that the cars weren't classed according to color. Dale (who probably should keep his mouth shut more often) Seeley STU is cool, there's no rules.... >I can understand the frustration with owning an "underdog" car. But it's >craziness to argue that Corvette owners are staying away from autocross in >droves due to the unfair classing of their car. |
