If I'd protested someone that I knew, on the basis of getting a rules
clarification, I'd have been sitting there with them. I'd have made it
perfectly clear why I filed the protest and what my expectations were.
That would lessen the stress factor considerably.
In Katie's case, I doubt that she was stressed because she thought the
car wasn't legal. She was stressed merely because she got protested.
Kevin could have lessened that stress.
