Lets see. Last years 3rd place car is .3 behind this year. That's not
out of the hunt by any means. It's a Prelude, go figure. It's 400#
heavier, longer, wider, more body flex and has no lsd. Yet, there he is
again in the hunt. I watched the Wed runs on the North course and the
two fasted runs were a 57.9 (Type R) and a 58.0 (Prelude). Both coned
but they were both close ( read barely touched the cone) to a clean run.
GS entries are down because everybody is convinced that a Type R is the
only car to have but what does a well driven Prelude mean. I don't know
for sure but it suggests that the Type R does have some competition. I
think when the posters mention that the F body and that 4 wheel drive
thingey are a second back and out of it, they do a disservice to there
argument by failing to mention the Prelude at all.
Good Luck on the South course to all GS.
