DMVR'S REGIONAL POINTS SOLO II EVENT AT THE MARSHALLTOWN GO KART TRACK
ALSO, THE UMPTEENTH DES MOINES VALLEY - NEBRASKA CHALLENGE
(Last year DMVR narrowly retained the long lost travelling trophy with a score
of 5.333 to Nebraska's 5.091. Nebraska region's RE Chris Safranek got the ice
water dunking in October. Who will receive the traditional ice water bath in
1999? Come find out Labor Day.)
If you are coming from the west on Interstate 80 take Hwy 330 north. Take
Highway 30 east to Marshalltown. Turn north at the Industrial Park Exit (South
18th Avenue). Right on Anson Street to Iowa International Raceway at 2002 East
Anson Street.
Track facts:
Length: .6 mile or 1 km with 10 turns and elevation change.
Width: 26 to 30 feet of asphalt and concrete.
Straightaway: 2 - 400 foot straights connected by 80-deg. turn.
Permanent restrooms -- handicap accessible.
3 sets of bleachers with large viewing area.
Complete concession stand (Debbie's famous hamburgers!)

Event facts:
Gates open at 8:00 a.m.
Registration opens at 9:00 a.m.
First car on track at 10:00 a.m.
Run Groups or heats of 20 cars.
Run one group and work one group.
Heat One (1) competitors will be guaranteed Four (4) runs.
One and three quarters laps timed.
Entry fee for SCCA members is $15.00.
Entry fee for non SCCA members is $20.00.
