Big rookie question of the day:
Does a car's handling characteristics change in a significant way due to
wheel back-spacing? Most importantly when you switch from negative
back-spacing to positive. If I have 2 wheels 9 inches wide each, one is
back-spaced 4 inches (positive?), and the other is back-spaced 5 inches
(negative?) what will be the noticeable changes in handling, if any?
Hope that made sense. I'm faced with buying a set of wheels that are 8
inches wide, but I can only go to about 3.5 inches of back-spacing in front.
Is this going to screw me up? Do I want to do everything I can to go with a
hub-centric wheel?
Thanx!
