Yokohama A008R tire--what is it?

I found a stack of Yoko A008R tires in a local tire store on sale and in my
size. They are not the RS track tire, nor the RS II autocross tire--just
labeled A0089.
Can anyone tell me about this tire. I am looking for a tire to use at track
lapping events and as a autocross rain tire. These tires have the same kind
of rain grooves as the current A008R tires and so might serve. The price is
certainly right.l
Can anyone provide some info? Thanx.
