The ride along program was a large issue at the NER annual meeting. Some were
concerned about people pre-viewing the course. It was decided that a top
level driver wasn't going to gain alot of insight on how to drive the course
better by sitting in passenger seat.
I think that the program is working as many drivers from NER this year have
stepped it up at the Pros and Tour. Not to the level that they can think
about winning it all in Topeka perhaps, but definitely to the level that the
can compete for a trophy.
