1st) For me and my car (91 VW GTI 16v - E/S) the BFG GForce is much better
then the R1 in stick and lifetime.
2nd) A recurring Question I get is "You're not running the 225x15's?"
My answer has been "I tried it with the R1's but I felt that the change in
effective gearing was costing me too much in AX". But based on Mr. Strano's
observation about us Left-Foot-Brakers braking too much - I wonder was it me
(not going fast enough, as usually, to take advantage) or the tire size?
My Question to the group: Is/should the +1.1 inches of tread be worth more
than the +0.8 inches of tire height is a detriment? How much of a factor is
the car's low-end grunt/torque? Are there other issues involved? (sizes from

91 GTI 2.0L 16v - OEM: 195/50-15 on 15x6.5 wheels. I run 205/50-15, same
wheel size of course. Wondering about 225x50-15 - all around?
