That "underinformed opinion" is spot-on. For reasons disputed at length by
a netter who shall remain nameless, the ratio of
(truck-axle to trailer-hitch distance)
over
(trailer-hitch to trailer axle distance)
should be the smallest number possible. Short-overhang truck and
long-tongue trailer are the ticket to fighting the amplifying-sway problem.
