Hi Thomas, I think I have always understood that the start area is the
area to the sides of the trailer, and once you leave staging, you are in
the "start area". But, from reading the quoted sections of the rule
book, it does appear you may be correct in what is printed.

I did review my videotape, which shows you adjusting your tire pressure.
There are two lines of red cones, which ended right in front of your
car, becoming lines of yellow cones. So..based upon the videotape and
the rule book, I say you are correct, even if that is not what is
commonly accepted.
