Tom Gentry and I have written a few msgs privately... it brought up a couple
questions from both of us regarding what's legal in Improved Touring and
American Sedan.
So, on to the tail end of the emails:
George, I don't have any problem with going public, I just didn't want to
clutter the list with noise.
As you can see my mods are pretty minimal, and the car is a daily driver, I
don't see myself welding in a roll cage. Thanks for pointing out the ruling
on stock wheel size, I missed that. I won't feel quite so out of place in CP.

If that's the general case for SFCs, then they're DEFINITELY not in the
spirit of SP. Nothing in SP is a weld-in; strut braces are bolt-in, rollbars
are bolt-in, etc. Except welded differentials.
Rollcages can be welded in if the rest of the car meets IT rules. Is it
possible to have your modifications (assuming you welded in a rollcage) in
IT? Or AS (American Sedan) and run in BSP?

Yes you can. Rule 15.4.F allows manufacturer's original wheel size.
By the way, would you mind if we took this part of the discussion public?
I'm thinking there's some good general info in the above and somebody can
likely address the IT & AS issues much better than I.
