Already did that. With a quality caliper that's accurate to 1/1000th
inch. The spring perches are in exactly (well, within 0.005") the same
position as the factory struts and the strut body is the exact same
length as the factory strut and so is the strut shaft as it extends from
within the strut body (again, within 0.005").
So..........if it does actually sit higher, instead of being just my
perception, then it would have to be due to the gas pressure. Right? I
saw my car sitting sandwiched between a couple of other Neons in the
parking lot yesterday. Of course they were also a '95 and a '96 model
so I guess it's entirely feasible that _their_ springs had just sagged
over time and my car is still sitting as tall as it ever did since it's
a '98 and that much newer.

I would suspect this to be true for el-cheapo 4 for a $100 Wal-mart,
Sears and parts store brands but I would truly hope that manufacturers
of "quality" aftermarket suspension parts like Koni, Tokico, GAB, etc
would build their products to a little higher level of quality.

Ooh, can I do that? Of course then I'd have to use higher rate springs
to make up for the amount of coils that I had to cut in order to get the
car to sit that 1/2" lower. ;^)

Weenies abound.

Hey, have you seen me drive too? ;^) I guess what Mike says is true, I
do actually have to beat someone before they're likely to protest me.
Thanks.
See you on course.

I've got a desperate plan.
