YES,had the same problem.

Last October I attended a SVO Club open track event at the Talladega
G.P. track and SEVERAL cars had this same problem on all types of tires,
Yoko's, BFG, Hoosier and even street tires (Me). 

The track surface is like racing on coarse grit sandpaper. I had heard
that track was to be repaved in November but from what you say here it
wasn't......very disappointing, I was looking forward to going again
this coming October.
