I am about to replace the brakes on my 1998 Subaru Impreza RS with the
brakes from the Japan-spec WRX STi model, mainly for track use. But where
does that put me for autocrossing purposes? I looked at the street-prepared
rules, and it doesn't mention anything about changing rotor size. If that's
not allowed, where would I be? I'm interested in having fun, not being
competitive.

Car mods: Prodrive/Subaru suspension kit (shocks & springs, 20mm rear roll
bar). Brakes: Subaru 4-pot 298mm front brakes, Goodridge stainless brake
lines, Subaru single-stage brake booster (from their rally car). Everything
else is 100% stock (2.5l 4-banger).

Thanks,
Richard
P.S. Anyone know of a good performance shop in the DC/MD/VA area to install
the above goodies? I have all the parts in my living room. E-mail me
privately if you do <mailto:me@mail.house.gov>!
