Ahhhh, AS. The 'best' class in all of Solo! I say best because you have
so many great choices and you don't have to mortgage the farm if you don't
want to!

BMW: M3 and Z3 2.8
Both cars are extremely capable. The M3 is arguably the best all around
car made today - it has a real trunk!

Porsche: Boxter, 911, 944 16V, 968
All of these cars can win as well. You put a 944 16V or a 968 in the hands
of Reitmeir, Kozlak or Murray and they are hard to beat.

Toyota: MR2 Turbo
Great Pro solo car with the mid engine. Proven performer.

The budget minded should look for a 944 16V or MR2 Turbo. I think you can
throw a blanket over the M3, 968, 944 and MR2. The 2.8l Z3 is an unknown
factor as well in Coupe form.

Our local region (NeOkla) only has the MR2Turbo in AS, and another region
I'll be racing in next month (WOR) seems to only have the M3 in AS.

I took our VR4 out yesterday, and slaughtered AS, and lost FTD by .07 to an
EM Triumph owned locally by Doug Turner (fun car!).

Id like to see what the population here thinks about the current stock of
AS
cars, and where they fit in as I am totally unfamilliar with any of the
other AS cars.

If I can afford to keep tires on the car (Currently Kuhmo) I plan to have a
great year, and most importantly a LOT of fun (Much more fun than the Supra
in ESP).
