As a member of a dual-driver household, the subject of Lady's Class
comes up as a discussion point from time to time. In our particular
case, the Little Woman (sorry, couldn't resist) bought the Formula Ford
and has significantly more AXs under her belt than I. We both compete
in the Open Class with the exception of events where we want to get more
than two drivers in the car and/or where there is the (at least
technically feasible) possibility of winning greater contingencies.

Our conclusion on the topic was that some sort of Club Class would meet
the stated needs of the vast majority of the current competitors in
Lady's Class, those of a significant number of competitors in Open, and
regionally, those of Novices. If you want contingencies or the
possibility of a National Championship, you compete in Open. If you
want low pressure, multiple drivers, high cameraderie or a
First-in-Class trophy, you compete in Club. And Autocrossing as a sport
gets to enter the 21st Century without appearing to treat women as
second-class citizens.

Once we arrived at that conclusion, we were able to quit bickerin' and
get back to racin'. That was a joke. We have never bickered :-)
