The Wiregrass Region will be having it's first Solo2 event of 1999 this Sunday
2/14 at the usual Hunt Stage Field event site near Ozark, AL. The Weather
Channel is predicting a balmy winter day of pure sunshine with 23 deg low and
55 deg high. Event site is a premium brushed-concrete Army helicopter
training pad 400 ft wide x 1200 ft long and all the clean pavement for paddock
that you could ever need.

Site opens at 9 AM, but unless your helping stage the event there's no need to
show up before 10 AM Central time. Drivers Meeting at approximately Noon
followed by "run until you drop or cord tires". Wiregrass events are very
casual and laid back. There are no on-course worker positions, drivers stand
their own cones back up before the next car is sent. Turnout is usually less
than 15 for a typical event, but we're expecting some folks to travel in for
some early year practice. There will be plenty of run time for test-n-tune
procedures.

Hunt Stage Field site is located just off US Hwy 231 ~5 miles south of Ozark,
AL or ~15 miles north of Dothan, AL. Take US Hwy 231 to CR 15; there is an
Exxon gas station with U-Haul rentals on the corner of this intersection.
Turn west on CR 15 and event site is about 1/2 mile on the right. I think the
entry fee is either $12 or $15 for SCCA members, about $5 more for non-
members. There hotels located in either Ozark (try the Jameson Inn or Holiday
Inn) and Dothan (most major brandnames) if you decide to travel in on Saturday
evening.

See you all there.
