An Enduro AutoX sure sounds like it would be a blast and
raise some good money for charity to have people pledge money for each run
you do. The one rule I could see that would be needed would be to require an
official run to be one that was either faster or no more than 2 seconds
slower than your current average run, or something like that to keep people
honest. Probably would need some exceptions, or a different rule for
nighttime runs as well. Also DNF's and runs with too many cones would then
also not count.
There could be classes for individuals and for teams using
the same car. Trophies could be given on the basis of FTD, FTDI, and most
runs taken in each class.
One problem would be tires. If you get 50 runs over the 24
hour period, you have just taken at least 50% of the life off of a set of
Kumho's. This could be expensive!!! Maybe some tire company sponsorship
could help with discount tire prices?
Course working is another problem. Course workers would have
to be scheduled, for instance, to work the course after every 3 runs of the
course and work for at least 3 runs of the next group of cars? This would be
a difficult thing to figure out.

Am I nuts, or does this sound like a lot of fun?? Maybe hold
it the friday before the 24 Hours of Daytona, someplace close to the Daytona
Speedyway?
