Granted, the Baby Grands are not a production based car, and as such do
not fit the classification for a prepared car. On the other hand, I
think it's great to have a place for them where they can actually be
somewhat competitive. The prepared classes are not the most
oversubscribed classes, and as a whole, might even benefit from
increased numbers. Are the Baby Grands dominant in DP? Based on only
three runs on two courses, it's hard to say if they can be or not. But
DP seems to be the proper place for them as far as overall times are
concerned. Run them in D-Mod and they might as well go home. 800ccs too
small and 500lbs too heavy. But this is all just IMHO, I don't currently
even have a dog in this fight, although maybe someday I might try out DP
in a 914...
