Howdy all.
Today I spent a little Christmas money at Barnes & Noble and bought a book.
Yeah yeah, I know. When'd Linnhoff learn to read? Pipe down Mike and just
sit there bangin' gears in your new March. ;^)
I gotta get through the long winter somehow and a good book sure beats
banging around ice cold wrenches playing with alignment settings in sub-zero
temperatures.
Anyway, I bought the "Drive To Win, The Essential Guide To Race Driving"
book by Carroll Smith. WOW!!!! IT'S GREAT!!!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!! Easily
the best $25 I've spent since that exotic dancer in Memphis. Suffice it to
say, that ended up costing _way_ more than $25. Someone remind me again
that Tequila is NOT my friend. =8^O
Anyway, I can't put it down. I've only had it for about six hours and I've
already briefly read the entire contents and read chapter 3 "The driver's
best friend: You & your tires" three times and it keeps getting better every
time.
It's sorta like finding Jesus, on a race track. ;^)
Well I gotta go drink some more strong tea so I can read until about 3 AM
since it's a 3 day weekend. :^P
And man oh man, this new ergonomic split keyboard is really gonna take some
getting used to. My fat callused fingers keep hitting all the wrong keys.
Gotta go read. Bye.
See you on course.
