What about the purchase and resale value of the cars? Making a solo
specific car devalues the car, no matter how successful it is, because the
pool of prospective buyers of such a car is restricted to just solo
competitors. Just look at the prepared or non-CM modified car values. The
ability to purchase a car from a club racer, convert it easily, run it, and
resell it to a road racer is a major part of what makes the economics of
this class viable.
I doubt anyone would make an FF2000 competitive in solo if it meant that the
car would be devalued to such an extent. The FF2000 cars that compete now
are just GCR legal FC cars without any of the modifications allowed under
the BM rules. They do not want to devalue their cars just like we do not.
