Laurie,
We belong to the International Norton Owners Association and they have a
web site that might be of help to you if you want to locate a Norton to
buy.
http://www.inoanorton.com/
Ebay deals can definitely be deceiving.

Hey, fellows,
I got an offer too good to be true.
It was about a Norton Commando at ebay, California.
That price was so low that I had to ask you how to decide if it is a
criminal offer? I said $ 3500 was quite fair and he answerd 2500$ is
okay.
Alarm, alarm!!!
Either he really understood that I was at Imatra Grand Prix 1969 and
1972 or
he has no bike but photos only. I do not understand this criminal ebay
business, so may you help me?

I have got so much help via this Alpines group that I am a sort of sad
that
I have met personally only 3 of you during the years.
