To add to this, please be careful of machine shops! To my dismay, I have
discovered that they really are only interested in the machining of Chevy
350 stuff, and many just don't have the ability to handle "exotic" stuff. I
just had some machine work done on an engine, only to discover that even
though I made a booklet with very specific instructions, along with photos
of the final product, the machine shop still made 4 errors, some of them
that I would consider amateur! This was all done by a shop that came highly
recommended!
If you can send out the parts and have them done by someone who knows what
they are doing, I think it is worth it. I will be doing the same next time.
