Paul, I have seen morons wrap their motorcross rim on the inside with
duct tape. You never want to do that, you want to use the rubber rim
bands. The spoke ends will poke right through any kind of tape and
puncture the tube. I mount my own tires on my rims with irons, just be
vary careful the tube doesn't get pinched by the tire irons.
