I always thought they came in basic black.
In light of the Rootes' hard nosed business practices the paint thickness
would be "just enough".
If you are rebuilding the tracks and want to keep them from rusting again
getting them cad plated is a good trick. Mind you a quick squirt with a bug
spray gloss black would achieve the desired result also.
