Jan and piners,

Some years back I looked into buying an SII alpine parts car that
someone had equipped
with with what he said was Hillman Husky front drum brakes.  It was one
of the major reasons
I opted not to buy the car, but did look like it belonged there.
I imagine that if rootes ever offered wire wheels for front drummed
hillmans, that they
surely would be retrofitable to alpines.

Now why anyone would want to do such a thing is beyond me...
