 Not good not good!

 My vote is to go ahead with what you've got.  I know 
you're frustrated now and with good reason!  I think 
Joe's V6 kit is a good option if your engine is 
completely toasted.  Since you'd need to pull the engine 
anyway, make your decision after you assess what's left 
of the motor.  You could even pull the head and drop the 
oil pan and get a reasonable idea of the damage.

 I think John Amoroso put a diff 4 cyl in his car (check 
back features on Ian's site)

 Good luck and don't let the ghost of Lord Rootes get 
you down (or Lucas for that matter).
