Yes a little bad luck and disturbing an axle riding on one particular spot
for 40 years and then having it's life changed can also start the flow. Did
you make sure the "flow back" section on the seal cover was lined up with the
hole so oil can get back into the axle housing? This can also cause some
MONSTER oil flow in the wrong direction.
