NO, but I've seen the exhaust manifold on a turbocharged aircraft engine glowing cherry red! It's an eerie sight to look out the cockpit side windows at night, see through the cowling and see the manifold glowing like that!! And yea, on an engine dyno I've seen exhaust manifolds glowing red.
