I had a similar problem on my series V. It seems they changed the brakes
to self adjusting that year and someone had put the wrong shoes on my car
so they stuck out of the drum a little bit. I'll bet someone put the wrong
shoes on your car and maybe the drums from an earlier model. I think the
shoes from the self adjusting model are different, and possibly the drums
too. Thats what I seem to remember about the whole thing. Hope this
