Windshield gasket replacement

I'm back after some time off the list. My Alpine V 1967 still has a long way
to go.... I dismounted the windshield to replace the windshield gasket which
was completely worn out by the strong norwegian sun... (or maybe it started in
California where it was until -97...).
However, I was told there was a discussion here on this topic, just recently.
If anybody has still got a copy I would be glad to get some hints and tips!
