Other transmissions (Dodge Colt)

I know I read somewhere that someone had put a Dodge Colt engine in their
Alpine, but I don't remember where I read that. The Colt is basically
Japanese, with a Mitsubishi engine and a 5-spd transmission.

Does anyone have any experience/know anything about the 5-speed in the Colt,
and if it's easily compatible with the 1725?
