List,
Thanks to all that gave help on my Mirror Restoration. I was able to soak
the mirror and free the glass. My mirror is now on it's way to NY to a shop
called "Walter's Mirror" that specializes in Mirror restoration. $25.00
buys the special care every Alpine rear view mirror deserves. The stem is
on it's way to Van Nuys California and my frame is at the local powder
coater getting a new wrinkle finish. Man I love this stuff!! I will really
be disappointed to finish this project. I really love this research and
re-con :)

I put out a request for help on the Tiger list and was surprised when I
found other information I (we) have been looking for. The winner of the
Lord Rootes trophy, Ron Gurerra (spelling might be wrong) wrote and
explained the way he did his. In response I asked him about the emergency
brake handle. That response brought a link to his web site. YES is the
answer to my question...."Can you put fresh air vents in an early car"

http://home.attbi.com/~tiger351w/

In fact, Ron has written a tech tip on this procedure and has some pictures
on his site.
This procedure can actually be done on a finished car without damage to the
paint! I know, I know..
it's only a Tiger but these guys have to have something to do too. There is
also a good picture of his body rotisserie and I hope to get plans from him.
He says he has them on a CAD program and can print them out.
BTW, the body was media blasted. His re-wire job is also something to
behold! He now has something like 17 fuses for the system, still using ALL
factory wire colors.
