Yes, us "stupid amateur"s still have to sandblast "outside". The only way I
know of to get rid of the rust on the framework, etc. I use a painter's
respirator, gloves and blasters hood. Menard's and our local DuPont paint
store still sells silica sand, but the bag has disclaimers and warnings about
cancer dangers... "Black Beauty" works wonders on rust too, and would be my
first choice for rust.
