Gary,
Yes, it can do a good job removing the paint layers. I have never had
this done, but I have tried to find a shop in the local area and never
really found one yet. Another option is plastic media blasting. Here
again, its rare to actually find one in the area. As Ian mentioned, it
doesn't remove any rust.
