I found the heat gun ineffective - and I was afraid of warping the panels
and even melting the lead filler. I have stripped several cars including Big
Bertha a 420G Jaguar. It is a big car! The best method I have found is using
plenty of chemical stripper like Strip-Ez Aircraft stripper and one of those
scrubby pads that fit on the end of a drill. I first used the stripper and
scrapped all pain I could with an ordinary paint scraper, and then got the
residual off with the scrubby pad. Everything came from my local hardware
store.

Hello All,

I am canvassing to see if anyone has used an electric heat gun to strip
paint off their Alpine?

If so, what make, model, wattage, etc?
