Windoe Winder Help

My drivers window just fell out of its tracks inside the door today
I've pulled the door to bits and find that the rear channel wasn't
secured at the botom-Have fixed this with great difficulty but how does
the window stay in the horizontal channel? Seems to sit in ok and winds
up fine but the channel leaves the window behind coming down Any help
would be greatly received
