Brent,
You can pretty much leave everything on.  But taking of the fan and pully 
makes getting it over the front shroud much easier.  Also, a trick I just 
learned on the last one I did:  Raise the back end of the car (we had this 
one coming off a tilt trailer) and this will really make the tranny clearing 
the engine compartment a snap.
