Well maybe.
I am partial to single viscosity oils due mostly to that I live
in a very mild climate, and cold thick oil never really bothers me.

I try to use 30 or 40w.

It should be noted that "tuning" your oil pressure with oil viscosity
make almost no sense becuase its the oil flow out of the bearings that
keeps the engine wear at bay.  Added viscosity may show a higher oil
pressure, but may actually impede the oil from flowing out of the
bearings.

Many race engines deliberately run loose bearing clearances for lower
friction, and increased bearing cooling.  The key here is to have surplus
oil pumping capacity, so that the lowest RPM operation still yields
an acceptable oil pressure to keep the oil flowing out the bearings.
