Rear License Plate

Does anyone have thoughts on placement of the rear license plate?

Had my SV  painted about a year ago - but I've yet to fix the plate in a
permanent location.  I just hate to drill into the trunk lid - not to mention
the aesthetic considerations.  I've noticed some plates mounted under the
bumper - how?  

It (the plate) now hangs from the roll bar, but it's getting some looks form
the TN-HP.
