Bob,
You're right, I mistyped it. I know both iron and alloy head Rootes
engines, MG (all 4-cyl) English Ford, etc. can be adjusted in the dark using
#9. I should have reviewed it. I wrote:
> #3 exhaust is full open, adjust #2 exhaust (valve 6 + valve 2 = 9)
> #4 exhaust is full open, adjust #1 exhaust (valve 7 + valve 1 = 9)
it should be: valve 6 + valve 3 and
valve 8 + valve 1
...that's what I get for trying to type with a head sitting directly in front
of my keyboard!
