Jay,
I have not yet had to install new pads without rebuilding the caliper
first. It seems the pads last longer than a hydraulic rebuild. I would
say that we need to be careful of our pistons because they have that
thin metal edge on the circumference that could crack under pressure. I
would find/design my own that pushes in the center of the piston and not
on the edge. Actually, a modified C-clamp would do it. I'll think about
it.
