I'm working on a series 3 alpine with a series 5 motor, backdated with series 3
accessories -- carbs, generator, distributor, oil filter housing etc.

Don't ask me, it was done by the PO. I put the old distributor in last fall
(with a made-up adapter) so the tach would work.

My immediate question is about the carbs. One of them has a stripped/cross
threaded fuel fitting. Are there any suggestions from the list for solving
this problem? I know that there are kits for some carbs that can repair these
threads, allowing a new fitting to be used. Or, since there's still *some*
thread left there, I've considered pc-7 epoxy, or possibly even a thread repair
product. Any suggestions from the list? What size/what standard are those
threads, anyway?

If I can get that sorted out, then *all* I've got to do is plane the head,
replace the rear axle, and sort the electrics. ;-) In that case, I'll see you
all in Dayton!

Any and all suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt
