All, I would leave the piston down slightly so if you have to drill out hole at all you won't damage piston. When done with tapping out helicoil threads start car up leaving out helicoil & rev up slightly. This should blow out aluminum or iron pieces. Also put heavy grease on tap threads to minumize pieces that fall into cylinder. Clean threads with carb spray & let dry after this then install helicoil with a thread locker like permatex brand to the cyl. head. Let sit to dry then install plug with anti-sieze compound.
