If I am not mistaken, the ONLY piece on an Alpine that was painted in
gloss was the brake servo can.  That from Smitty, who I consider to be
one of THE authorities on Alpines.  The rest of the black on the car
was semi-gloss.  But I am no expert, so don't take my word for it.  The
"old-timers" should be in the know, and I ain't old, yet.
